Go To Your Drafts & Post A One!!

I was having trouble thinking of a post for my little ole blog here & it struck me to look through my drafts to see which post never made it here to the writing board.... Well here's the pic that was suppose to be in my post:

This is my youngest son Brandon with my little nephew Kason.

Kason is now now 18 months and here's a pic of him now:
He is such a happy little camper! He has such a happy, smiley, funny, people person personality! Not to mention he's a snuggle bunny!! It just doesn't get any better than that for an Aunt!

It goes to show you how fast time flies! I think I'm going to go through my other drafts & see which other posts never made it! :)  So now it's your turn & go check yours!
Until next time~

Touched The Bottom Of My Heart

I just had to write about this story I saw online.  I've shared it with my hubby and friends at work so now I can share it with my blog friends.
It's about this sweet labador retriever named Hawkeye who pays such a honerable tribute to his owner. His owner was a US Navy Seal named Jon Tumilson. I say was, because Petty Officer Jon Tumilson was killed alongside 37 of his compatriots when their Chinook helicopter was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade in Afghanistan earlier this month.
Here's the photos taken by Mr Tumilson’s cousin, Lisa Pembleton:

To read the full story click here.

We read and hear about all kind of stories in reference to celebrities, politicians, criminals, etc. so it was about time to read about something that hits close to our hearts. Our soldiers which are dying each and every day do not get our attention like they deserve. These are our guys and our girls protecting us, helping us and we do not hear enough about it. We need to be praying for our soldiers and for our President.

On another note, I'm just so thankful for our furry children: our two Cocker Spaniels, Newman & Ollie. I know how loyal they are to us. I know they greet us each and every day like I've been gone for years. We have a bond that is so strong. I just love the saying:
Be the kind of person your dog thinks you are.

My Followers Are Missing!?

Help! My follower list is missing here on my blog & the "follow" button! I'm not sure how or why it's missing!? I may have done something when changing backgrounds. Has anyone had this happen to them & if so how did you fix it? I would appreciate any help. I may try resorting back to the plain original layout & see if it will put it back in my default. So...if you stop by here and it's very, very, very plain looking...this is not the normal look for me!!! I'm trying to fix my page!! lol
I'll try to have this fixed soon. :) :)
Until Next Time...

The Most Beautiful Sunrise I've Ever Seen !

It's funny how I look at life sometimes. I had a really hard time waking up this Monday(8/15/11) morning. I was going back to work after being off seven days of being sick with pnemonia. Can you say {cough, cough}? I'm so much better now, thank goodness! I have to drive around 30 miles to work everyday. About six miles onto my daily route we have a hill and if I time it just right by leaving early enough by the time I reach the top of the hill hopefully I'll get to see God's beautiful bright sun rising.
Well this morning I did time it just perfect! This is how I view life sometimes: I think this is my reward for getting up and going to work this morning. I have Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. I will not lie.....It is very difficult each and every day. Some days are easier than others.  So this beautiful sunrise to me was a gift from God and a message to keep pressing forward.
Keep Calm and Carry is one of my new favorite quotes. So that is what I did. :) My Monday was great. When I arrived at work (early because that is just ME; I always arrive early at work, like 30 - 45 minutes early!) Jean and Jenna gave me a hug because they missed me!! It made me feel so loved! I missed them too. We all get along great and have such a good time talking & laughing together. It sure helps the day go by fast and makes for a peaceful day too! I've said many prayers thanking God for the job I have and for the people I work with.

The beautiful sunrise I saw Monday morning, Aug.15th, 2011.

On my way home yesterday (Wednesday, August 17th, I had to pull off the road right outside of Newberry. This photo doesn't do it justice because the sun with the rays shooting down was so beautiful!!!

The beautiful sun rays shining down on us. :)

Until next time ~

I Openly AdmiT: I LOVE These Surveys ;)

I so remember filling these type of surveys out in elementary, middle & even high school but I think we may have called them Slam Books. Does this name ring a bell to anyone? I can remember how fun it was picking out a pretty composition book & racking my brain so I could come up with creative questions to write down .in my pretty book. All of this was in done in my neatest and prettiest handwriting!!
The next step would be to pass it around to all of your friends at school and let the fun begin! Once one of us girls started a Slam Book it would then take off & everyone would start making them. :) lol Trends. The joy of trends. :)
The very best part of the Slam Book would be taking it home, going to my room & READING each and every entry to see what your friends wrote! The key to this was, the guys wrote in the Slam Book. ;) So of course you couldn't wait to see what they wrote. Maybe you would get a a hint of who they liked because you know one of the questions would be, "who do you like?" How funny we were back in the day!!!!
So now here I am at 41 year old & I still just love these surveys. I think maybe because I must me just a little nosy. Ha,ha..No I would not consider myself just plain out right nosy...maybe curious would be a much nicer word. :) :)
Here's the Survey I'm posting and I did fill it out, But the catch is: If you do read all of it, You do have to take just a few minutes to copy and paste it into the comment section & just backspace the answers out & write your answers in. See that will be easy peasy!!!! So maybe, just maybe you will humor me!!

With Drawal Symptons

Y'all I am so missing a certain little someone that just happens to be the cutest little fella you've ever laid your eyes upon. Okay, maybe I'm a little bit prejudiced, but be honest isn't he a handsome little fella?

Kason loves benches, chairs, anything that he can sit on!

Uh-Oh!!  I'm so glad I caught this expression!!

One of the many things I love about Kason is his chubby cheeks!

Kason with his striped p.j.'s on. I love it when he wears them!

Mr. Cheezin' himself! My sweetie pie nephew... I wuv him so much & I miss him so much!

This Too Shall Pass

Since last Thursday, August 4, 2011 I've had bronchitis or that's how it started. By Saturday, I still wasn't feeling any better. Actually I was feeling worse. I continued taking my medicine like prescribed. This morning I called the Dr. office to get me a recheck appointment. I was able to get an 11:30am appt. with my Dr. whom I've seen since I was 3 years old. How comforting is that? My thoughts were confirmed: I have pnemonia!! I have never had pnemonia ever! At least this explained why I've been feeling so horribly bad. I've had no energy what so ever. Just completely drained. I have been coughing & coughing & then there is the wheezing. Dr. Gary changed my medicine & prescribed a few other things and said I should be better by the weekend. So I may be off work all week, just depending on how I feel.

Having Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue on top of Pnemonia doesn't help matters at all as far as trying to recooperate. It just takes longer than the normal person to overcome. I keep telling myself it will get better, because I know it will!!

It doesn't help the week before last week I missed three days for having the pink eye! Now I'm missing work for bronchitis & pnemonia.

I have had helpful hands around the house bringing me lots of fluids, soup & really anything else I need. I also have had these little guys to keep me company:

Ollie is on the left & Newman is on the right.

They both sense I don't feel good. Especially Newman. All 46lbs. of him wants to lay in my lap! :) They are such a comfort when I'm not feeling well.
