To Look Through A Childs Eyes

I love spending time with my sister and her little man aka my sweet nephew. It doesn't matter what we do as long as we spend time together. This day actually happened several weeks ago but I'm just now getting around to writing about it. :)

I met Karen and Kason in Trenton and rode with them to Gainesville. Karen had a dentist appointment so I went with her so I could watch Kason while she could be seen.

Kason and I sat in the waiting room when Karen was called to the back. I'm so glad Kason has manners, he's not hyper, and just a well behaved little fella. What did we do you may ask? We read books, I took tons of pics of him with my iPhone (forgive me for the quality of these photos), he played with his trucks, we ate little gold fish crackers, (I totally forgot how good those were!),& we took three potty breaks (for Kason). That meant I had to pack up all of his little toys, books and snacks just to go to the bathroom. I wouldn't dare leave his things in the waiting room. Here's a few pics I took while in the waiting room:

He has a "play" phone!

He loved this book. I took a pic so I can search for it on ebay!

He's busy reading....

I said, "Kason will you go stand by the Christmas tree so I can get a pic?" He said, "yes mam". I love his good manners!

It was fun watching Kason play and reading him stories. It's amazing how something so simple was so enjoyable. We left the dentist office and went to the Family Christian Bookstore (one of our most favorite places to go). Then we decided to go to the Oaks Mall. Karen really wanted to get a personalized ornament so off to the mall we went. We unloaded Kason's stroller and headed inside.

Guess what Kason spotted? Hehehe...those dog gone ride on cars! He asked his Mommy if he could ride one and I mean who could tell the little fella no? So he picked a helicopter but quickly decided that wasn't for him. He then found one that he liked. He rode it and then his ride finished so he jumped out and had go get in another one. He didn't get to "ride" it, just sit in it. He was completely fine with that. It doesn't take much to make him happy.

He decided this wasn't for him!

Oh the joys of being a kid!

We rounded the corner heading towards the ornament store and guess what he spots? I'll give you a hint: Choo Choo! Yes, the train!!! $6.00 later he and Karen are riding around in the mall! It was priceless. They were the only ones on the train and they rode in the caboose! He thought he was big stuff riding the train! I enjoyed seeing this adventure through his eyes.

Mr. Happy!

The driver told Kason to holler if he saw rain deer or Santa Claus! I could tell he enjoyed his job!

I've been living life today through Kason's eyes. We had an absolute ball!

There's more to this FUN day!! The best part will be in part 2! ( hint: Build a Bear & Santa Claus!)

Until Next Time~

Simple Days are the Best

Last week I spent the day babysitting my sweet little nephew. He's amazes me with his manners. He almost always says, "yes'mam", he says the prayer for our food when we eat lunch and he has the heart the size of Texas!

Kason's best friend is "Ollie" which is a little stuffed doggie I gave him several months ago. He does not go anywhere without his little Ollie. Kason gest a treat when he goes potty, which is usually a skittle (one piece). He always gives Ollie the first bite!! Or if gets a lolly pop, Ollie gets the first taste. He understands the concept of leaving Ollie in the car if we stop at the grocery store so he doesn't get lost in the store. :) He's pretty good at reasoning. Since last week I bought him another little doggie which he named "Old Yeller", now he has two to keep up with. I'm sure Karen is just thrilled!

Kason and I had so much fun sitting out on the front porch blowing bubbles. I forgot how much they are. He had the best time trying to catch the bubbles on his wand and then reblowing them!! I had fun snapping pics of him! He would ask me after I snapped a pic, "Aim Aim, did you get it?" I would say, "Yes, Kason I got your picture." Something as simple as blowing bubbles made me realize it's just the simple things in life that mean the most. I'm so very thankful for the time I get to spend with Kason because I know how fast time flies! Our boys or should say young men are 22 & 20 years old! I'm thankful for the job I have working at home. I am able to spend more time with Kason, my family & extended family & friends, more time to clean house, & have down time. I'm super duper thankful for my blessings. :)

Here's a few of the pics I took:

Kason loved his little cupcake! We each had one. :)

Little Things in Life Are Really The Big Things

I"m really enjoying working from home. I'm still learning how to balance housework & working from my desk. I really find it hard to stop working so I really need to work on that. I'm thankful I have found a product I can be passionate about and believe in 110%! I know my paycheck literally depends on how much work I put into my business. So I'm working hard! You can check out my latest POST & see how my first paycheck turned out. I was quite pleased to say the least! I'm trying to grow my blog and if it's something that interest you, please click on the follow button. :)

I love to watch Good Morning America as I'm waking up. (no we don't have a tv in the bedroom. only because hubby insists we don't need one. we use to have one, but he didn't like it. me..i loved it!) So I have to walk  stumble to the living room. This morning, Newman wanted to sit with his Mommy. He weighs around 50lbs but he thinks he's a Chihuahua!! I love him so much and he's brought so much joy to all of us. I dread the day that he's no longer with us. So I try to enjoy every minute with him.

Chuckie started working back here at the Trenton office on Friday! No more driving to Old Town / Cross City. That means we'll be saving lots of $$ on gas! We rent a house here at the Forestry Office so now all he has to do is walk out back and go to work! That also means he'll get to come home from lunch. That can be good and that can be bad. I'm not particularly fond of cooking and especially not two meals a day. I see lots of left overs and sandwiches in our future. ;)

Last week my sister-Karen had a dentist appointment so Mom and I rode with her so we could watch Kason. We went to the Christian book store (one of our most favorite places to go!) and looked around. I should get an award because I didn't buy one thing! Afterwards, Karen dropped me, Moma & Kason off at Books A Million (another favorite place for Moma and I). Kason started to cry because he wanted to go with his Mommy. But I was carrying him and distracted him as went in the store. He had Ollie with him (I gave Kason a little brown cocker spaniel) which he carries everywhere! I asked him if he wanted to ride in the buggy (inside the cart) & he said, "yes, mam". This kid has such good manners! I pushed him over to the kids section and I saw some stuffed animal doggies. I asked him if he wanted to ride around with more doggies and he loved that idea. So I put around 5 doggies in his buggy, a raccoon, kitty cat, & elmo. He thought he was big stuff with all those animals in there.

It's funny how when you get older you do things you wouldn't have done in your younger years as a Mama. I would have never done that with my kids when they were little!! When my Mom spotted us, she said, "are you really going to let him ride around with all of those animals? I told her, "yes, mam. He's not hurting anything & I'll put them back when we're finished." She just couldn't believe it! Kason had the biggest time riding with his animals. About 20 minutes into pushing him around, he said, "Aim Aim, my hiney is hurting, but it's okay because the doggies make me feel better." He just makes makes my heart happy! I said, "Kason, I'll buy you one doggie, okay?" He sorted through his puppies and decided on a little light brown puppy and he named him Old Yeller. Old Yeller is one of favorite movies! He started handing me back all of the other doggies..he wanted them out because he had his Ollie and Old Yeller and that's all he needed!!! Here's a pic of Kason and his two special doggies:

We ended the afternoon by eating supper at Cracker Barrel. It was delicious!! I had the chicken and dumplings, carrots and hashbrown casserole. Kason loves Nannies turkey breast. He at super duper good!

I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my best friends which happen to be my Moma and sister. Of course spending time with my little nephew is one of my most favorite things to do! We had a simple afternoon spent together and enjoying each others company. I love being able to work from home. It gives me extra time to spend with my family and I'm very thankful!!

My Heart Melts

I love getting txts from my family & friends. It's so nice to be able to txt because sometimes I just don't feel like talking..you know what I mean? It's great way to communicate. :)

I received a txt  from my sister Saturday evening which is nothing new. It was a picture which I love to receive because I know it's going to be a pic of my sweet little nephew- Kason. Those pics are always just the best. I so L.o.V.e. this little fella.

Well she sends me this txt that says, "Kason, wanted his owl to take a bath with him!!" She told him he couldn't ...she would have to wait on him. Here's the pic:

His owl was sitting on his stepping stool which was sitting right by his bath tub. How sweet is that? She sat right there and waited on him.

Kason had to give his owl some sugars before he even dressed!! He sure loves her. They've been calling her "ewwcy" which = Lucy. He can't quite make the "l" sound yet. :)
This whole txt just melted my heart. I love Kason so very much and I'm so glad we have such a close relationship. I love being his "Aim Aim'. Thank you Karen for sharing this sweet sweet moment. I know it's crazy busy for keeping up with such an active 2 year old. You always make my day by taking time to send my pics of your little man!

Bday Party, Owl & Cup With a Straw.

These past two years have flown by so very fast. I can only imagine how the next two will go. We have all tried to soak up each and every moment with Kason. He is now putting so many words together. Each day is a whole new adventure. I wish I lived right next door to share all these moments with my little buddy!!!

Here's a few pics from the past two years....and of course from his Bday party:

Mr. Happy!

Kason loves Woody & Buzz. His bathroom is decorated the Toy Story theme too. :)

T
This is one of Kason's favorite presents...the owl Uncle Chuckie & I bought him!
He  loves my owl necklaces so I thought it was time he had his own owl. He LOVES it!

See how much he loves it? Karen said he told her it was crying!!! She told him to go get a blanket
and then she wrapped it up for him. Kason then proceeded to rock the owl. Kason has a heart of gold. He is
such a sweet and caring child. There is not one mean bone in him!!

Kason's other favorite present come from....Pa & Nanny Arrington...(my parents). He so loves
this cup with a built in straw (his very 1st one ever). As soon as he opened it he had his Daddy go fill it up! He then carried it around every where with him. :) Priceless.

He even had a Birthday Boy ribbon!!

Jay (Kason's Daddy) grilled some awesome tasting hamburgers & hotdogs for every one. Moma made her famous potato salad with onions, chips n dip, coleslaw for our hotdogs, and pasta salad that was so very good. We also had good old fashioned sweet tea.

Kason had a wonderful 2nd Birthday thanks to all the family & friends that came over. It was nice to have a good evening hanging out.

Photoshop Elements 7: I made my very 1st Digital Scrapbook page in Forver!

I have been determined to learn Photshop Elements 7!! Honestly, it's the layering that confuses me. I have found a SITE that I Love, which has free tutorials available. It's nice to be able to watch it, pause and lots of rewinding to do! :)
Here's my very first page I created:
This is my little nephew & my cousin Amer.
This digital page isn't perfect ( I forgot to put writing on the red lines!) but's it's a start! :)

Go ahead and try it for yourself! :)

Just a Few Special Photos

These photos are from this past Saturday while my Mom, sister & little nephew spent time together browsing in consignment shops & eating good ole southern food. I snapped these pics and they tell a story of how much Kason loves his Nan Nan as Kason calls her that since he can't quite say, "Nannie". If truth be known I think he could call her anything and she would come running! :)

Kason taking a break with his Mom...but watching
someone else very closely!! Who??

Kason in action but running to......who??

His Nan Nan aka Nannie. He sure loves  her that is for sure!
He is a lucky little fella to have so many people who LOVE him
so very much!!! It's neat having a little one around again since my boys
are 19 & almost 22 years old.
