Zoo Love

    This past Saturday, April 21, 2012 Moma, Karen & I took Kason to our local Zoo in Gainesville, FL located called The Santa Fe Teaching Zoo which is located at our local community college. I remember taking Colby & Brandon there when they were around 6 & 4 1/2. Boy how time flies!

Awww, Karen is loving on Hootie Owl. I love the look on Kason's face. He sure loves his Moma...& Hootie Owl.

We absolutely enjoyed ourselves. I love spending time with my little 2 yr. old nephew, Mom & Sister. It honestly gets no better than having them for the whole day & just being able to take our time.

 Visiting a zoo with a little one makes you see things through a childs eye. It took us around an hour to go walk through the zoo. It's definitely not a big zoo & they didn't have a zebras, giraffes or elephants, but it was no big deal. They did have the cutest little monkeys! Kason L.O.V.E.D the monkeys. One of the three kept playing right there where we were standing. The little monkey would swing all around & then jump right on the front of the cage where we were standing! It was hilarious. The first time it happened, Kason wasn't sure if this was a good or bad thing, but after we started laughing, Kason started laughing & appartenly the monkey thought we were funny because he jumped several more times right where we were standing. Awesome part of the day!!

Kason loves owls. (He got that from me!! He owns two stuffed animals which are owls gifted from yours truly.) This was his first time seeing a real live owl!! I am in love with owls. I've started collecting owls..I'm now the proud owner of four!

Some type of deer. Karen asked Kason, "what would your Daddy do to this deer & he replied, "shoot". Yes, Jay is an avid hunter just like my three guys. :)

This tiger freaked me out! The glass / plexi glass was so crystal clear you could not tell there was anything

protecting us from it. Kason walked about 1/2 in the cubby hole & turned around & got out!! Then guess who had to crawl in there? Yep, Nanny!!! Kason still didn't want to go back in there.

After the zoo we headed to Michael's craft store and then to eat lunch @ Olive Garden. It was so so delicious! Kason was just a good little boy. He ate salad, breadstick & loved dipping it into the alfredo dipping sauce & then he ate lasagna. After lunch we went to Kohl's and shopped for a few minutes and then headed back home. It started raining on the way home and Kason fell asleep. He was a tired little boy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day together. This is what memories are made of. :)

Karen bought Kason this lollipop at Michael's for a whole .39cents! What a deal. :) He dearly loved

it. :) While Karen & I were in line checking out, Kason wanted to walk outside with Nanny with his lollipop in hand, but Karen told he he had to wait until we paid for it. So he waited & asked us every 10 seconds, "paid?" So as soon as it as the cashier rang it up, he was out the door with Nanny & his lollipop. :)

Oh how thankful we were when it started raining. I'm sure all those local farmers who've planted watermelons were thankful too!!

To be totally honest, I was dog tired and that is tired. This stupid Fibro is such a pain to deal with. I got home around 4:15 and went straight to bed. I slept until 9pm! I was just exhausted. Then I was able to go back to bed and sleep until Sunday morning.

My Lists of Loves @ This Moment In Time

     I have loved journaling since my high school days, which wasn't yesterday. A teacher in my 7th grade class by the name of Mrs. Beatrice Ellison actually sparked my love for journaling. At the very beginning of school one of our requirements was to bring a composition book to class. She asked us to write a 1/2 page in our composition book every day & it could be about anything. I really liked that because it didn't have to be on a certain topic.
     Do you know right now I remember some of the things I journaled? I do believe I can remember those certain things only because I wrote those entries down! I wrote about the first VCR, yes I said VCR not DVR, we ever bought!! Mom & Dad bought it at JC Penney's for $450.00! Can you believe that? Now you can buy them for around $40.00!! Wow how times have changed. I even journaled about the movies we rented, when my parents bought a new vehicle, what I did on weekends, my favorite TV shows, etc.
     So now I just love this whole blogging world. It's such a neat thing to have access to. I'm really trying to find my blogging niche here in blog land. I know I have to be true to myself & it has to be blogging in my own style. So I am trying to find that.
     As of November 17, 2011 this is my top 10 favorite LoVeS: 
1.)   Pinterest . Need I say more? I mean what did I do before Pinterest? I know, I know, I used the ole' favorites button, but it didn't save a picture. I am very much a visual girl. I also love that you can "follow" your  friends.
2.)   My camera. I love taking photos to document time. I love taking moments & creating a memory which can be looked back upon. Once the moment is gone we have a better chance on remembering it if we have a photo or have written about the moment.

3.)   A little boy named Kason who in case y'all didn't know is my little 20 month old nephew. Here he is right here:

He loves to be outside playing.

He loves his Pa (which is aka my Dad). :)

4.)   I am loving the Breaking Dawn Soundtrack! I've been listening to it on my way to work & on my way home. #11 on the soundtrack goes with Bella & Eward's wedding! I found out yesterday that it will be on the playlist at Colby & Sarah's wedding! Listen to it here. It's called Northern Lights by Cider Sky. :)
5.)  White Chocolate Mocha here at Opus Cafe in the Shands Hospital Atrium. It's better than Starbucks!
6.)   I have an obsession using :) ;) & !!!!!!  It seems I just can't help myself. It describes the moment when txting, emailing or blogging. I know I use it way too much, but that's just me! See there it happened again.
7.)   Chalkboards, as in making them myself. I think they are just classic. I've loved chalkboards since Elementary School. I was always the one who wanted to wash the chalkboards for the teacher. I knew then I'd have a chance to maybe grab that piece of chalk & write on the board! I honestly wanted to be a teacher for that reason just so I could have my chalkboards look so pretty & neat for the kids. ( I definitely changed my mind - it takes a special person to be a teacher & I'm not cut out for it!)
8.)   Blogging. Reading Blogs. Learning about Blogs. Hunting new Blog layouts. You name it about Blogs & it interest me!
9.)   Picnik. This is by far my very favorite photo editing site. It's free for the basic editing features, but I do pay $4.95 a month  for the upgraded features. In my opinion, it's well worth it if you do alot of editing. I hardly ever post pics without editing. My camera is okay, but with out editing they would not look as nearly as good as they do.
10.)   Weddings. Wedding planning. Dreaming about Colby & Sarah's wedding. I'm so hoping they love their wedding photos because when it's over & done with all you have is the memory & the photos.

Kason Loves The Vacuum Cleaner Per His Mommy! :)

My sister sent the funniest txt last night!! (I'm blogging about it so I can share it with y'all but also so I'll have it written down somewhere so it won't be forgotten!) She said she probably has the only baby boy that cries when the VACUUM CLEANER IS SHUT OFF because that means he can't chase it anymore. Now mind you he's almost 10 months old. I thought she was going to say he was crying because the vacuum cleaner scared him! Oh no...it's because he can't chase it anymore. How funny is that? Too funny!!! I will post a recent picture of him tonight when I get home. :) :)

Babysitting My Little Nephew Kason

I was lucky enough to spend my day Saturday, September 25, 2010 babysitting my sweet little nephew Kason aka Bubee. I am so in love with Kason. It is a total joy to spend time doing nothing but seeing about him. Being an Aunt is so much different than being a Mom. When I get to spend time babysitting him I don't have to worry about cleaning house, washing clothes, cooking lunch etc. because I always go to Karen & Jay's house! It's so much easier for Karen too because she doesn't have to worry about packing up Kason's baby items.
Karen and Jay decided to get away for one night in celebration of their 2nd Anniversary. I kept Kason until 5:00pm & then I took him over to his Nana & Papa's house (Jay's parents) to spend the night. I was so wishing I had agreed to keep for the night by staying @ Karen & Jay's house but Karen didn't think I'd be up to it after working all week & driving back & forth from Gainesville everyday.
Kason is starting to crawl!! He will crawl about three spaces & then he lays down. He has the sitting up by himself down pat. He seems too little to being doing this. I already miss him being a little baby! Several times I would look up & Kason would be sitting there just staring at me! I would smile & then he would smile right back. We made a game out of me tickling him under his arm pits! He was laying in the crook of my arms & I would say, "I'm gonna get you" & then lift up his arm and tickle him. He would actually laugh!! I almost called Karen to get her to listen but I didn't.
Karen & I txted back several times during the day. I sent her pics of Kason to her on her phone. They stayed @ the Hilton in St. Augustine. She txt me one time saying, "Guess what? They have a Hobby Lobby here!" I have been in Hobby Lobby in Ocala & told her & Mom that we needed to go. So now she knows what I'm talking about when I say, "Hobby Lobby!"
Brandon came over & brought some pizza from Pizza Hut. Then Chuckie came over on his lunch hour. So Kason was able to give out even more baby sugars. :)
I gave Kason a bath & fed him before taking him to Nana's.We drove to their house & Kason helped me drive. No I didn't drive on the highway we drove in the ditch. When we walked in the side door & Nana was in the kitchen with Granny & Jady. I handed Kason to Nana & he looked back to me as if to say, "Why are you leaving me Aunt Amee?" I almost started crying!! We walked to the living room to see Jady's little brother Jake. Nana sat Kason down on the quilt & again he looked at me with the same look..."why, Aunt Amee?" I kissed him bye & then aruged with myself why didn't I tell Karen weeks ago that I would keep him for the night! So I've learned something. Next time I'm volunteering to keep Kason for the night!!!!!!

Kason ended up getting one of his shoes off & was going to chew on it so I put them on the coffee table. Well he watched me sit them there & he crawled over to the table & tried pulling up!!! So it will not be long & he will be into everything!!
