Our two furry children with fur are Newman and Ollie. I took these pictures last year and they are some of my favorite. It is amazing how sweet, attentive, loyal Cocker Spaniels are. I know other dogs are but there is just something about their personality which I think makes them different. Newman and Ollie want to be where ever we are. I honestly cannot leave the room without them following me. It really is amazing considering every foot step I take they are there. If I take a nap they are on the bed with me. I'm not sure what we would do with out them! Oh, yes I do: We will buy another Cocker Spaniel! I cannot imagaine our life without them.

Gator Parade

What is better than a Friday off from work, spending the day with your family, and getting to see the University of Florida's Gator Parade? I am ashamed to say we have never been to the Gator Parade before!! We only live 30 minutes from Gainesville but yet had never taken time to go see it. Well today we did!

We arrived about an hour before the parade. It was a beautiful day outside. The wind was blowing and the sun was shining! We were able to find a spot across from the The Florida Book Store in a nice shady area. Chuckie had packed my lawn chair and I was ready to relax.

The biggest parade we've ever seen is the Chiefland Watermelon Festival Parade and it typically isn't that big. It was exciting waiting for the parade to start. I couldn't wait to see the "real" floats! I'm going to post a few pics for everyone to see.

We had a great time as a family. Brandon video taped the whole parade. It was about 1 1/2 hours long if I'm remembering correctly. The floats were awesome!! This to me was a real parade. After the parade we went to Wendy's for Colby and Brandon and then Chuckie and I had Bono's. We just figured out that Bono's has a drive thru!!

I am very thankful that we were able to spend time as a family and that Colby and Brandon wanted to spend time with us. They are 19 and 17 so I feel pretty special that we all went together.

University of Florida's Homecoming Game!!

Brandon and Kelly went to the Florida Gators Homecoming Game Saturday Oct. 17, 2009. They had a blast!! They met Connie and Mike and they all rode together. Mike has front row parking so of course they let him drive!! That sure saved a lot of walking. After the game they went back to Mr.and Mrs. Cdell Fletchers house and hung out. I'll will have to find out from Brandon which seats they had. So I will update this later. I knew if I didn't start on this well months would pass before I would publish this post!!

I'm trying to contemplate how my life is changing. In just a few months our youngest child will be graduating high school. Just how has this many year gone by? It seems like it was just yesterday we were bringing Brandon home from the hospital (Alachua General, which is now closing it's doors; it opened in 1928!) with his big brother, Aunt Karen, Aunt Amy and his Dad in tow. If you can believe this because I still can't....When we left the hospital, I wanted to go to Target!!! Was I nuts??? I guess that was the deep down shopper in me!! Something very sweet happened while we were in Target. I had Brandon in his carrier sitting inside the buggy. Colby (only 2 1/2 years old), climbed to ride on the end of the buggy and looked at Brandon and believe it or not Brandon smiled back at him! Brandon was only 2 days old. Yes it may have been gas, but I like to believe it was Colby and Brandon forming a brotherly bond. It just completely melted my heart!!!!! Thank goodness for memories and we have those to look back upon our life. Well the summer how FLOWN by!!! I haven't had time to post anything lately...I have lots of catching up to do!! School is just before starting. Another chapter closing and another one opening. We just had Colby graduate this year and now Brandon is entering his Senior year!!! It is totally unbelievable that our youngest will be graduating!!! Brandon has already had his Senior picture taken for the High School Year Book!!! I'll try scanning and posting it on here..:) We are almost done school shopping....It is so very easy to buy for boys or should I say "guys"...b/c he isn't a boy anymore!!

I took some photos of Brandnon and his furry brother, Newman!! I had been wanting to do this for a while and it finally took place! Brandon loves Newman just as much as I do. Don't get me wrong Colby loves Newman too, but there is a special connection with Brandon and Newman.

Where has the time gone too?

Yep...I"m gonna have to buy me some tonight at Walmart. Our precious Colby is graduating High School tomorrow evening. I have so many feelings right now. I feel so proud that he has accomplished this tremedious goal. For some children school is just a breeze, but Colby has honestly worked so hard to make this happen! I feel sad because this is a close of one important chapter or maybe book? He no longer needs his Moma like he used to. I feel less important in some ways which I know is gonna happen, but still I don't have to like it! I feel anxious and nervous for many reasons (another post for another time!). I still feel like its sureal and not happening, but I better get with it because it is tomorrow night at 8:00pm at the Trenton High School Football Field (please no rain!). This is the same field that I graduated from way back in 1988! Pretty neat...:) Yaaahhh for Colby! We are all so very proud of him! :)

OK...I'm Addicted..But In A Good Way!

Yes, I am addicted (To occupy oneself with or involve oneself in something habitually or compulsively) to reading blogs. I'm trying to figure out how I"m suppose to blog when I end up spending 2 hoursreading blogs. Ummmmm. I can say by reading all these blogs I have felt the following:
~Certain ones have been uplifting...
~Sparked creativity within me...
~Brought tears to my eyes...
~Made me smile...
~Made me laugh...
~In awe of the talent...
I"m sure there is many more feelings but just can't think of anymore descriptions at the moment!

Go Kart Racing..............

My boys love to go to the Ocala Gran Prix Race Track for Kart Racing! We have had a couple of Brandon's Birthday Parties here. This album sums it up..Boys Will Be Boys!
