Goodwill & Thrift Shop Finds!!

Last Thursday, Moma and I took US Hwy 19 south all the way to Hudson, FL. Moma was looking for a particular thrift shop but we ended up not being able to find it. So we turned around and started back north. I lost count of how many Thrift Shops & Goodwills we stopped at. It was a bunch!!

We had so much fun going in each shop. You just never know what you'll find. Sometimes we didn't find anything. Then there were some that we found several items we couldn't live without.

We ate lunch around 1:15 at the Olive Garden. It was so good!! Moma and I always have a good time even if all we do is go into ole' stinkin' Walmart. :)

Here's my finds for the day:

I'm loving the lamp I found. It reminds me of milk glass, but I'm not really sure if it is or just a replica of some kind. It doesn't really matter because I love it!

I was thrilled to find the green Pyrex bowl. I'm a lover of vintage Pyrex & Corning Ware dishes. I can't wait to one day have a china cabinet to display all of my dishes. Who said I had to display fine china?

I found some cute little white pillow cases with pretty eyelet trim. I'm thinking I'll use them as a doily.

I feel in love with the flowery pillow cases. It has red trim which will match my red comforter. They are in the wash getting ready to find there home on my bed.

I have plans for the basket. I'm going to hang it on my bathroom wall with small towels rolled up and put them in the basket.

It's the little things in life that can make you happy. This is true of this little owl. This is my favorite find of the day! I'm happy to say she has a good home now. She was only $1.25!!( I love owls in case you didn't know.)

I had much rather go to Goodwill & Thrift shops rather than the mall. I can make my money go a lot futher that's for sure. I like the idea of not knowing what I'll find. It's addicting!

I'm so glad that I have a job that is very flexible. Moma drove so I could work from my phone. I was answering questions about Plexus, helping customers and potential customers and I even had to talk to an Ambassador. This was all fine because I'm thankful I have a job that's helping people and it's growing like crazy!!!!

Babysitting the Sweetest Little Guy Ever!

We've had such beautiful weather today. High of 78! I was at Karen and Jay's house at 8:55 this morning. I was playing with Kason all day! We went outside around 10:30 and I snapped pics of playing on the slide and playing in his Little House Tykes house. He picked me some flowers then he picked his Mommy some flowers! He is the sweetest little guy.
Kason almost always has a gun in his hand. He knows he isn't suppose to shoot people. He's always shooting the bad guys or animals such as bears or wolves. He loves watching cowboy movies. Some of his favorite at the moment is Across the Great Divide, Old Yeller, & The Wilderness Family. He will ride in horse while watching his movies & of course he has in gun in one hand. He asked me the other day, "Aim Aim, will you ride double with me!!!" Bahahahaha..if y'all could have seen me stradling the back of his horse. It was hilarious!!
     Here's some pics from today:

He's such a big boy!

He loves playing outside!

I sent this pic to his Mommy and I think I gave her a heart attack! lol

Weeeeeeee!!!

Kason picked me some flowers! This little boy melts my heart!

He would rather use the window than the door! Typical little boy!!! :)

He loves his Little House made by Little Tykes! (they have the best play toys.)

These flowers were for his Mommy! I took this picture and sent it to her in a txt message. :)

We had such a great time two weeks ago with family and friends. Our day started out by waking up at 4:30 am. to get ready. We met my parents in Chiefland at 6:45 so they could follow us. Colby, Sarah, Ty, Micayla, Holly and Wayne were already on the road ahead of us. We met them in Brooksville at Cracker Barrel. (this is a family tradition eating at Cracker Barrel!!) Our final destination was Fly Wheelers Antique Tractor Show The weather was beautiful with sunshine and cooler temperatures (72 was the high with a little breeze).

I found several things but my most prized possession was this wooden sign:

Sarah found this cut wooden cow!

Colby looking at tools. It's a guy thing!

Every year we buy a butter pecan ice cream cone! Yes, it's home made.. :)

You can't beat home made ice cream!

Just me!

I loved all of these vintage Corning Ware and Pyrex dishes! We only bought one item and Chuckie picked it out! It was an antique chopper! Of course I don't have a picture of it! :(

Lots of tractors!!

I loved these old milk cans!!

We never know what he'll run up while riding around!

Last year we went to Fly Wheelers and I remember feeling horrible, but I made myself go. I didn't want to miss out on a family trip. Fibromyalgia really stinks!! I pulled this picture up from our last trip, Jan. 2012 and compared it to this years trip. I've lost 37 lbs since then and now my Fibromyalgia is under control thanks to Plexus Slim. I can tell a big difference, can you tell?

Chuckie and I continued our weekend get away to his sister and brother in laws house located in Clearwater, FL. I'm not sure what I would do without my phone because while he drove, i answered questions about Plexus and even talked to a few people on the phone. I'm so glad I have the job that I have. I dearly love helping people start their Plexus journey!
Amy and Dennis took us to BD's Mongolian Grill. It was the 1st time Chuckie and I had been to a restaurnat like this. We loved it! The food was delicious. We then had frozen yogurt at a little store they took us to. (of course I can't remember the name.) By the time we got home it was around 9:00pm. I had been up since 4:30am but I couldn't tell it! We had a Plexus review of the business Opportunity. :) I didn't even go to sleep until 1:00am!!! Unbelievable!!!!

I'd love to have one of these grills in our house!

Chuckie and I waiting for our food!

This wsa so good, but I almost had it too spicey!

Frozen yogurt with all kinds of topings!! It was good!!

Happy Birthday, Colby!!!

This past Friday, January 18, 2013, we celebrated Colby's 23rd Birthday! Sarah was throwing a surprise Birthday party for Colby but he found out the night before by taking Sarah's phone and texting Whitney as if he was Sarah! So, I don't think he'll be getting any more surprise Birthday parties thrown for him anytime soon! So that was an ordeal in itself but it all worked out in the end. Sarah, you are to be commended for thinking of Colby and wanting to do something special for him. It's the thought that counts! :)
We met at Beef O' Brady's at 7:00pm. We all had a nice time hanging out with family and friends. It sure doesn't seem like we're old enough to have  23 year old son. Here's some pics of Colby's party:

Sarah and Colby.....

Colby reading Papa & Granny Eastman's card that had some great advice for him after his little stunt that he pulled the night before!!

Nanny and Pa Arrington... (my parents)

Holly (Sarah's Mom) and Sarah.....

Chuckie and I..

Colby's cake isn't very pretty ( a guy decorated it so I don't think he's found his calling) but it tasted very good!!! It came from Publix.

Sarah and Whitney...they've been friends since high school. I would adopt Whitney if I could!!! She was so sweet...she brought me a pink and grey Otter Box for my iPhone! I was so tickeled because I'd been using Brandon's and it was camo. Not very girly looking at all. So THANK YOU, Whitney!! I love it and I think of you when I look at it. :)

Mother and daughter....

Our gang. Brandon was missing in action since he was in North Carolina with Ken, Kris & Kelly Anguish. :)

Bussard and Eastman family....

Colby has loved this stinkin' claw machines since he was a little fella! So funny that at 23 yrs. old he stil loves them! hahaha!!
We hope you had a great Birthday Colby!!! I love ya bunches.

Nap Time, the Most Important Part of the Day!

How did I spend my Monday? I spent the day with the sweetest little boy on earth, named Kason. I loved that he was still in his little dinosaur pj's when I got there. His new little quirk is to either be hiding when I get there or to act like he's still asleep. haha...well this morning was no different! Karen opened the door before I even had time to knock. She gave me a look and said, "Amee, Kason's not here this morning!" I played right along and said, "Oh no! I thought we were going to ride horses and shoot his gun. Now what will I do?"  (He was sitting in the recliner with a blanket covering him.) About that time I hear his pistol shoot. lol He couldn't bear to sit quiet any longer!! I said, "I think I found him & snatched the cover off him." He thought that was funny and immediately started laughing. I love to see the different phases he goes through. Before long and it will be something different and this will be a thing of the past.

I was in the kitchen fixing Kason a glass of juice and noticed he wasn't in the living room. So I went to his bedroom and called his name because I couldn't see him. Guess where he was at? In his closet pointing to the play dough. I started laughing and said, "how did you know that was in here?" He just smiled and said, "please?" So I did what any good aunt would do...I took it off the shelf and we played with play dough. :) I think I had just as much fun as he did!

The best part of my day was this:
Nap Time! I love snuggling with this sweetie pie. I can honestly say, "I've held him for every nap he's ever had while I've kept him!!" I know that in no time he'll be in school and this will not be an option. So I'm going to hold him and rock him every chance I get. I know his Moma & Nanny agrees with me too!! They hold him for his naps too. I mean, really what could be more important than bonding with your child? I can't think of one thing that's more important! There will always be clothes to wash & fold, dishes to do, floors to be swept, etc. When our kids are grown, that's when we'll look back and say, "I wish..." I know because that's where I'm at. That's why I'll rock Kason every chance I get. There's nothing sweeter for him to look at me as he's dozing off and smiles at me. This little boy is loved so much by each and every one of us. :)

My cute little cowboy riding Sonny. He named his horse after Pa and Nanny's horse. :)

Just a self portrait. I'm famous for taking these. hehehehe
