Trenton Park

Gee, I've got to do better at posting!! I've gotten out of the habit and I am going to do better. Here's a couple pics okay more like 100 pics of an afternoon spent at the park with my Mama, Daddy and little nephew from a couple of weeks ago. Mama (aka Nannie to Kason) and Daddy were babysitting Kason and they decided to take him to the park in Trenton. So what's an Aunt to do but grab her camera and meet them. My sweet sister in law, Amy , loaned me a very nice Sony camera so I was dying to use it. The flash is broke so I have to use the natural light that God gave us and it was a beautiful day!

Here's some of my favorite pics:

I haven't been on a see saw in at least 15 years!

Nannie's turn to ride the see saw!

Kason would slide down and stop to give Pa a kiss. He's full of sugars!

He's so happy!!!

This picture reminds me of my Brandon at this age!

Here I come!

Special memories!!

Kason hugging Pa tight!

Kason was sitting on this little ledge and the next think I know this hapenned...look at next picture!

OPPPS, he fell! I couldn't help but laugh (once I knew he was okay!)

He said, "Nannie, that hurt!"...he was A okay! He's one tuff little guy!

We had such a fun afternoon seeing life through the eyes of a sweet little boy. We are very blessed to get to see Kason every week. :)

Until Next Time~

Mondays Are Fun Days!!

I thoroughly love keeping Kason on Mondays. He's such an easy going little fella. He's talking up a storm and has quite the imagination. We were outside playing at his swing set and I was watching him climb up his ladder to his slide and all of a sudden he stopped and started backing back down. I asked him, "Kason, why are you backing down? and he replied, "Aim, Aim, there are giants up there!!!" I started laughing and told him to knock them down the slide!!! He did and then he slide down the slide. Hahaha.

He rode his battery operated four wheeler around the yard which he loves to do. One problem. That jeep goes fast!! My legs couldn't keep up with him. (Karen and Jay live on a busy rode so I have to stay right with him because the rode is pretty close to their house.) Finally I got smart and decided when he would drive around one end of the house, I would start toward the other end and meet him (instead of following right beside him). Well, as I started towards my end of the house, I couldn't hear his four wheeler which kind of scared me!! So I started running and when I reached the back of the house what did I find? Kason was sitting down on his behind picking flowers!!! It was priceless. I didn't have my camera turned on so I missed that moment. I'll never forget it that's for sure!! Smokey their hound dog was right there with him. She's always right there with him and his very protective of him.

I snapped these pics of my sweet little nephew who isn't so little any more. Where has the time gone to? March 1st this little guy will be 3 years old. Wow. Before we know it he will be in Kindergarten and I'm sure not ready for that as I know his parents aren't either.

Babysitting the Sweetest Little Guy Ever!

We've had such beautiful weather today. High of 78! I was at Karen and Jay's house at 8:55 this morning. I was playing with Kason all day! We went outside around 10:30 and I snapped pics of playing on the slide and playing in his Little House Tykes house. He picked me some flowers then he picked his Mommy some flowers! He is the sweetest little guy.
Kason almost always has a gun in his hand. He knows he isn't suppose to shoot people. He's always shooting the bad guys or animals such as bears or wolves. He loves watching cowboy movies. Some of his favorite at the moment is Across the Great Divide, Old Yeller, & The Wilderness Family. He will ride in horse while watching his movies & of course he has in gun in one hand. He asked me the other day, "Aim Aim, will you ride double with me!!!" Bahahahaha..if y'all could have seen me stradling the back of his horse. It was hilarious!!
     Here's some pics from today:

He's such a big boy!

He loves playing outside!

I sent this pic to his Mommy and I think I gave her a heart attack! lol

Weeeeeeee!!!

Kason picked me some flowers! This little boy melts my heart!

He would rather use the window than the door! Typical little boy!!! :)

He loves his Little House made by Little Tykes! (they have the best play toys.)

These flowers were for his Mommy! I took this picture and sent it to her in a txt message. :)

Nap Time, the Most Important Part of the Day!

How did I spend my Monday? I spent the day with the sweetest little boy on earth, named Kason. I loved that he was still in his little dinosaur pj's when I got there. His new little quirk is to either be hiding when I get there or to act like he's still asleep. haha...well this morning was no different! Karen opened the door before I even had time to knock. She gave me a look and said, "Amee, Kason's not here this morning!" I played right along and said, "Oh no! I thought we were going to ride horses and shoot his gun. Now what will I do?"  (He was sitting in the recliner with a blanket covering him.) About that time I hear his pistol shoot. lol He couldn't bear to sit quiet any longer!! I said, "I think I found him & snatched the cover off him." He thought that was funny and immediately started laughing. I love to see the different phases he goes through. Before long and it will be something different and this will be a thing of the past.

I was in the kitchen fixing Kason a glass of juice and noticed he wasn't in the living room. So I went to his bedroom and called his name because I couldn't see him. Guess where he was at? In his closet pointing to the play dough. I started laughing and said, "how did you know that was in here?" He just smiled and said, "please?" So I did what any good aunt would do...I took it off the shelf and we played with play dough. :) I think I had just as much fun as he did!

The best part of my day was this:
Nap Time! I love snuggling with this sweetie pie. I can honestly say, "I've held him for every nap he's ever had while I've kept him!!" I know that in no time he'll be in school and this will not be an option. So I'm going to hold him and rock him every chance I get. I know his Moma & Nanny agrees with me too!! They hold him for his naps too. I mean, really what could be more important than bonding with your child? I can't think of one thing that's more important! There will always be clothes to wash & fold, dishes to do, floors to be swept, etc. When our kids are grown, that's when we'll look back and say, "I wish..." I know because that's where I'm at. That's why I'll rock Kason every chance I get. There's nothing sweeter for him to look at me as he's dozing off and smiles at me. This little boy is loved so much by each and every one of us. :)

My cute little cowboy riding Sonny. He named his horse after Pa and Nanny's horse. :)

Just a self portrait. I'm famous for taking these. hehehehe

Kason Is Loved

Kason my sweet handsome nephew is growing up too fast. He will celebrate is 1st Birthday March 1st!! My how this first year has flown by. I'm so lucky he lives about 10 miles from us so I've seen him often!! I've enjoyed every minute! More especially since my boys are 18 & 21!! I've soaked up every minute from rocking Kason & watching him stare at me & then falling off to sleep to watching him hold his head up which was instantly (he wasn't the typical helpless little baby!) & then it wasn't long he was crawling & then by 10 months he was starting to walk which was way to soon for us!! I can say Kason has been a very determined baby. When he wants something he goes for it and does not give up!

Kason has had a very hard time with acid reflux. He's had many dr. appts. & many a sleepless nights. I feel for Kason & his Mommy which is also my Sister, Karen. She has done such an amazing job!! I always new she would be an amazing Mommy but I just had no idea how much until I got to see her in action. It has been trying especially those first 6 months! She did it and did it amazingly well and not on much sleep to say the least. She walked those floors of th house on many a nights while holding Kason! Kason has that bond with her that will last a life time, because I know from experience. Brandon, my youngest son had a very bad case of colic after he was born & the only person he wanted was me. We still have that special bond that has with stood time! Now don't get me wrong Kason loves his Daddy too. His Daddy can walk in the room and Kason is walking to him for Jay to pick him up! It's so sweet. Kason is very lucky little boy to have such a good Mommy & Daddy to take such good care of him! Kason rocks their world! But then again he rocks my world, his Pa & Nanny Arrington's world & his Papa & Nana Drigger's world & Granny Drigger's world! He is
Loved!
